Ruth Bader Ginsberg: Will her Her Legacy Continue - Erin Esso

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg left behind an amazing legacy. She fought for women's rights first as a lawyer, then as a judge and lastly as a justice in the supreme court. She advocated and pioneered for women's rights. She first entered law school in 1956 when women accounted for less than 3% of the law population. Her main goal was to achieve equality of the sexes.

After graduating from college Ginsburg had trouble finding a job within the law community. Even her great academic career was not enough to get her a job. It was only until one of her male professors from college, had refused to recommend any other graduates until she was hired as clerk by U.S. district judge Palmieri . After working as a clerk for 2 years she was finally offered jobs at law firms. She led the fight against gender discrimination and led 6 landmark cases before the supreme court.

With Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg gone, people wonder if her legacy will continue or if it will be destroyed by the new Supreme Court Justice, Amy Coney Barrett. Many people think that by adding her to the Supreme Court the United States will be taking steps back, and that women's rights will be back to the way they were before Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fought for women. The legacy that Just Ginsburg will forever be remember by women all over the country, without her women may still not have rights, she took a huge step for women. Now the main question is, will the United States keep moving forward or will they take steps back.
