Halloween During A Pandemic - McCall Manning

During this pandemic the negative impacts have been enormous. Everyone has been impacted in some way big or small. From people passing away to missing out on their high school or college years. We can all find the negatives in a time like this. It is very easy to sulk in them and accept this negativeness and let it consume you. Especially with the upcoming holiday season, lot's of people are just gonna accept that this year is all bad because of COVID- 19 and that were gonna miss out on all the fun because of it.

But with Halloween coming up some people are trying to make the most out of what we have. Trying to turn negatives into positives. Some people like Carol McCarthy. Carol had made a chute coming from the top of porch to the bottom to be able to socially distance while still giving the kids a true trick or treating experience. She even has a whole skit planned out that ties in her chute invention and coincides with her costume.

While not everyone has done this lots of people are doing what they can to not let this pandemic ruin the fun. whilst still keeping our community's safe. One woman is using a slingshot  to shoot her candy for the kids to catch. Another spread out a bunch or giant size candy bars in her front yard. Some people are doing it more like an Easter to egg hunt in their backyard with just a small close group of friends to stay safe but keep the experience of dressing up for their kids. Even if your an adult you don't have to miss out, this one lady usually hosts a Halloween potluck dinner. But this year she planned a front yard fire pit with socially distanced seating.

If this is still not for you there are even virtual ways now to get into the spooky spirit this season. Starting with decorating competitions and even celebrities are getting involved.

It really is such an uplifting thing to see the creative ways people are finding safe ways to have fun and not miss out out this Halloween.
