First Snow Fall for North Jersey- Corey Monroe

First Snow Fall of the Season

Yesterday marks the start of the winter season as it was the first snow fall for the winter season. On October 30, 2020, one day before Halloween, the snow flew early in the morning and ended later in the day. This is just a start though as it is predicted to be a snow filled season with the 2020 "Farmers Almanac" predicting this winter to be "terrible" and filled with "crazy" storms.

Some Were Not so Lucky Though

Not everyone got to enjoy the first snowfall though as Hillary Sanchez shared this picture online of her greenhouse and her yard. A large tree had fallen in yesterday's storm and it fell in the direction of her yard destroying her greenhouse and wrecking her yard. But it is likely that she's not alone as many trees can fall in a storm.

Another person wasn't so lucky as they shared this image online. It depicts a tree that had fallen into their yard during yesterday's storm and has broken their outdoor picnic set and has ruined their yard.

What's in Store for the Future?

Good news is upon us though as over the next few days will get warmer with Sunday's high of 56 degrees Fahrenheit and Monday's high of 40 degrees Fahrenheit. This should be enough to melt the snow and ice and we might be able to cling onto the last few nice days of autumn.

  1. Are they really predicting a bad winter? I love some snow, but how much more can we all take?

  2. I loved seeing the snow but it's sad that a woman's greenhouse was destroyed by the storm.
